-Catherine: Why have you chosen to partner up with me?
-A.M: We are both here, right now in Tremblant and I'm sure we have loads of things that we can learn from each other :)
-Catherine: Why can't you stay at one place ofr more than 5 minutes?
-A.M: In Ayurveda I'm considered to be pitta (fire / earth) and vatta (air / space). Oh and I'm also a lion haha. Okay seriously, it's just how I am - a free spirit kind of girl. Routine is definitely not my thing. I love to fallow my heart which generally guides me in sweet life experiences. I think this is why I like Ashtanga Yoga so much - it's the decipline I need in my daily life to keep me grounded and at peace. Meditation is very precious for me.
-Catherine: What has brought you to yoga and the healthy lifestyle?
-A.M: Exactly, it's the beautiful science of Yoga that keeps me in balance. It keeps my mind busy, it's intriguing and it inspires me. There's always something new to learn and little surprises to discover...
My practice today really helps me find that equanimity. The rest is all details.
-Catherine: So what training have you completed ?
-A.M: My first Yoga Alliance 200hour YTT was in Ballina Australia under the guidance of Sunny Richards Glasser in May 2011 (best experience of my life!). Then last summer, of 2012, I did a 100hour month long Ashtanga intensive with Bruno Bartulich in Portugal. To deepen my studies of the traditional Ashtanga lineage, I am now currently completing an extensive training in Montréal, one weekend per month, with Mark Darby and his son Shankara, beginning in April 2013 for one year.
To add to my pleasure of learning, I have completed my level 1 Thai Yoga Massage course at the Lotus Palm massage school in Montréal last December. More projects are definitely in the horizon, we're always students of Yoga :)

Anne-Marie Laplante
-Anne-Marie: What inspires you in life?
-Catherine: Nature, plants, the human body - that is where I get all of my energy.
-A.M: Other than glowing at Rachelle-Béry and finding bliss on your mat, what else occupies your free time?
-Cat: Preparing delicious organic vegan food, oftenly raw. Hike mountains, running, swimming and kissing my dog.
-A.M: What is your favorite dish?
-Cat:A nice fruit salad made from Quebec berries.
-A.M: What would be your next destination?
-Cat: Maybe Bali or Hawaii, in fact I'm seeking a place to enjoy nature, yoga and fruits.I'd love to complete another training. The one I did in Satyananda was so much fun and I'm always keened to learn more!
